Hello once again! It’s time to get started with our photogrammetry project, and we’ll do so by taking our first pictures. But this time it’s not going to be about capturing the detail of the objects we want to scan – not yet. Instead, we are going to capture light!
the road ahead
Good day once again!
After having seen what the Real Displacement Textures are all about, it is time for us to see how we can actually make them. Going from taking hundreds of pictures to the creation of the actual textures is a long and sometimes complicated process, so it’s good to know what lies ahead.

When working with daily life scenarios, it’s easy to forget how complex our environments usually are. Maybe it’s something that isn’t as noticeable in a city setting, but whenever we roam outside in the countryside we can inmediately find all sorts of different landscapes composed of a million different elements. To recreate them, we have usually simplified them or focused our attention on the parts that were easier to depict.
getting started!
Hi everyone!
My name is Brais Brenlla and I’m making this blog as a means to keep up and organise the work I’m doing as a student in the MA in Computer Animation I’m currently enrolled in. But that’s something you probably already know, since those who’ll be reading this first will be the friends and colleages that I spam this url to! I’m also an architect, and a lot of the work I do is related tothat field – arch viz, environments, personal and bussiness projects… Although I have a strong passion for videogames, where I do a lot of work as well.
